
ALMA SAMMEL
Cultural manager, Curator, Writer, Art assistant and adviser
Alma Sammel is a French-Italian-German cultural facilitator who has worked in the contemporary art world by organizing exhibitions, workshops and performances internationally.
She studied communication and cultural management at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, Germany. She gained her first professional experience in the Berlin and Paris gallery and film world and curated several exhibitions, including NO LIMIT - Jean Pierre Raynaud at Bienvenu Steinberg & J Gallery in New York. In Berlin, she organized a speculative pharmaceutical design performance called Purecalyptus, which was presented as part of the theater project Medusa Bionic Rise at HAU - Hebbel am Ufer. Internationally, she has been involved in several theater projects as administrator and production assistant, including Walk with Amal by Goodchancetheater and Une journée particulière, directed by Lilo Baur.
Alma Sammel currently lives in Arles (France), where she works at Lee Ufan Arles in exhibition and art education. She was exhibition, publication and event coordinator at the École nationale supérieure de la photographie d'Arles.
As art agent, she also supports contemporary artists.
