WHEN ARTISTS COME TOGETHER

Isabel Henschen was curator of a limited edition publishing company collaborating with artists internationally. To create a collaborative experience in real life, in 2017, the exhibition When Artists Come Together showed some of the artists’ works in a dialog. Showing both limited edition prints as well as original artworks in the media of painting, photography, sculpture and collage in an unconventional space, new ways of seeing art were opened up to the public. Following the belief that art should be accessible to anyone, the magazine FOUNTAIN was presented as an edition of 500 for which Alma Sammel created the visual concept and design. FOUNTAIN opened contemporary art specifically for people who like art but don’t really know if engaging with it and collecting it can be accessible to them and presented things helpful to know about art to enable the reader to do so.
